Bhartiya Mahila Kamgar Manch has also worked in Assam, where the organization focused not only on women and child welfare but also on cow service and protection. Our organization has always been dedicated to working towards the overall welfare of society in every possible way.
During a survey in Assam, we identified several issues. It became evident that while the people in the region possessed unique skills in creating handicraft goods, they faced difficulties in turning these skills into a sustainable livelihood. Additionally, there was a lack of teachers to help children, despite their strong interest in education. Furthermore, the local population cared deeply for their animals but struggled with proper care and management.
To address these challenges, Bhartiya Mahila Kamgar Manch formed a dedicated team that worked closely with the community. As a result, approximately 140-150 people joined our efforts. They began creating handicraft goods, which we showcased in a special exhibition in Delhi, allowing people to purchase their work and providing them with financial support.
Bhartiya Mahila Kamgar Manch also organized tuition classes for children in Assam, helping them resolve their doubts and improve their studies. Around 40-50 children benefited from these classes. Additionally, we educated the residents on how to properly care for their cows, ensuring their well-being and management.
